At UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, we want patients and visitors to feel comfortable as soon as they enter our campus and walk in our front door. It’s our goal to provide patients and visitors with as much information as possible in advance so that each visit, appointment, or hospital stay is as stress free as possible.
Visiting Simmons Cancer Center
For outpatient cancer care, appointments may take place at Simmons Cancer Center in the Cancer Care Outpatient Building in Dallas, at our RedBird or Richardson/Plano locations, or in Fort Worth. If treatment requires an overnight stay at the hospital, patients will be at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital or Zale Lipshy Pavilion – William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital.
Visitor Policy Reminder
We understand that a cancer diagnosis and related appointments can be overwhelming. With that in mind, Simmons Cancer Center encourages our patients to bring up to two individuals with them to their appointments for support in whatever way patients may need. However, bringing children under the age of 18 as visitors to appointments is strongly discouraged due to infection control concerns and the possibility of a child interfering with patient care. For the safety of our patients and visitors and to ensure that each patient gets the most benefit from every appointment, please make every effort not to bring children under the age of 18 as visitors to appointments.
