The Referral and Evaluation of At-Risk Children (REACH) clinic’s goal is not only to treat patients with the highest quality of care, but also to identify children who are at risk and make appropriate referrals. If abuse or neglect is determined in any patient treated at the clinic, child welfare services will be contacted.
The clinic is staffed by specially trained physicians, as well as pediatric nurse practitioners who are experienced in recognizing the signs of child abuse and neglect and intervening when appropriate.
After evaluation, we ensure each child gets the treatment they need – including psychosocial support and other resources to help overcome the difficulties associated with physical abuse, sexual abuse, failure to thrive, and neglect.
