UT Southwestern Medical Center’s lymphoma specialists expertly diagnose and treat people with every variety of lymphatic system cancer.

Our multidisciplinary team offers the most advanced technologies, evidence-based treatments, and comprehensive lymphoma care available.

As the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in North Texas, we deliver the best cancer care available today and push to discover new treatments. NCI designation means we offer patients the ability to participate in the broadest possible range of clinical trials, with access to potential therapies not available at other facilities.

Specialized Expertise for All Types of Lymphoma

Lymphoma is cancer of the lymphatic system, which includes the body’s 600 lymph glands (nodes), the liver, and the spleen. The lymphatic system is part of the immune system, which helps the body fight infection and disease.

There are more than 80 types of lymphoma, and we diagnose and treat them all. Our areas of specialty within lymphoma include:

  • Large-cell or aggressive lymphoma
  • Small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), also known as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)
  • Hodgkin lymphoma
  • T-cell lymphoma
  • Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma
  • Low-grade lymphomas

We have providers who specialize in each of those areas – studies show that specialized care results in better outcomes for patients. Our doctors help craft the guidelines that other health systems follow for treating lymphomas.

Our multidisciplinary teams see your case through from start to finish; you don’t need to be referred to another doctor for any treatment you may need – but we welcome the opportunity to coordinate your care with a community physician or treatment location that’s closer to your home, if UT Southwestern is a long drive for you. It’s important that your care is led and overseen by our specialized team. We treat patients from all over the state of Texas and beyond.
