Treating Children with Personalized and Empathetic Care
The presence of too many or too few hormones throughout the body can cause various endocrine disorders. Diabetes is a commonly known endocrine disorder, but there are many others.
Although many endocrine disorders that affect adults can also affect children, the disorders can sometimes produce different symptoms in children. It’s important for pediatric patients to be followed by a care team that specializes in treating endocrine disorders in childhood.
Each year, we diagnose and treat 250 to 275 new diabetic patients, and have approximately 18,000 outpatient clinic visits for diabetes and other endocrine-related conditions. Our personalized care has been recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s list of the “Best Children’s Hospitals - Diabetes and Endocrinology.
