Hurst (Lanny) Hall, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in general and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Hall earned his medical degree with clinical honors at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He performed his residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern, where he also completed a cardiology fellowship, serving as Chief Fellow, and an interventional cardiology fellowship.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiology and interventional cardiology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.
Dr. Hall chairs several hospital committees focusing on improving cardiovascular outcomes, safety, and quality of care in patients with acute myocardial infarctions. He is a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI) and an active member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He also serves as a content editor for Circulation.
He is active in clinical research, currently serving as the site principal investigator for the Management of Antiplatelet Regimen During Surgical Procedures (MARS) Registry at UT Southwestern. He has delivered numerous national and regional presentations and published several academic articles.
