Biography
Jessica Moore, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Dr. Moore earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She completed her residency in psychiatry at UT Southwestern, where she also received advanced training through a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. She received her B.S. in psychology from Baylor University.
Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both child/adolescent psychiatry and psychiatry, Dr. Moore joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.
Dr. Moore’s clinical interests include mental health in college students. In addition to her roles at UT Southwestern, she serves as Medical Director of Student Wellness and Counseling at Paul Quinn College in Dallas. She has presented at several national meetings on topics of diversity in college mental health, and she wrote a book chapter on supporting first-generation college students with mental health disorders. She is also the co-founder of the UTSW Psychiatry Race, Diversity, and Inclusion Task Force.
Dr. Moore is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the co-founder of the Dallas/Fort Worth African-American Female Psychiatrists. In 2017, she received the Healthcare Diversity Excellence Award from the Greater Dallas Healthcare Diversity Summit.
