Biography

Meredith Bryarly, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her specialties include postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS), orthostatic hypotension, and multiple system atrophy.

Dr. Bryarly earned her medical degree at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed a residency in neurology as well as fellowships in neuromuscular disease and autonomic disorders at UT Southwestern.

Certified in neurology and neuromuscular medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in autonomic disorders by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2016.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Bryarly is the Associate Director for the Medical Student Neurology Clerkship. She is a member of the Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) Clinic and the joint rheumatology-neurology Muscle Clinic. She also established and runs the Autonomic Disorders Clinic at the Dallas VA Medical Center.

An investigator on numerous clinical trials, Dr. Bryarly’s research interests include autonomic failure, dysautonomia, multiple system atrophy, orthostatic hypotension, and POTS. Her recent publications include a chapter in Primer on the Autonomic Nervous System.

She is a member of the American Autonomic Society and the American Academy of Neurology.
