M. Gaith Semrin, M.D., is n Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. A specialist in pediatric gastroenterology, he serves as Clinical Director of both the UT Southwestern Pediatric Group at Plano and the Medical Feeding Disorder program at Our Children’s House specialty hospital in Dallas.
Dr. Semrin earned his medical degree at the University of Jordan. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Tufts Medical Center and received advanced training in pediatric gastroenterology through a fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Certified by the American Board of General Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2004.
Dr. Semrin’s clinical and research interests include inflammatory bowel disease, general gastroenterology (reflux, vomiting, constipation, functional abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, failure to thrive, diarrhea, poor weight gain, and eosinophilic esophagitis), hepatology, and nutrition.
He is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
