Meet Dr. Haddock

Plastic surgeon in Dallas

Nicholas Haddock, M.D., is an Associate Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center with appointments in the Department of Plastic Surgery and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is experienced in all aspects of both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. His areas of expertise include breast reconstruction, aesthetic breast and body procedures, surgical and nonsurgical facial aesthetic treatments, microsurgery, and extremity reconstruction.

"As a plastic surgeon, I’m able to help a wide variety of people, whether someone is interested in looking more youthful or needs reconstructive procedures. It’s the perfect blend of science, creativity, and problem solving,” says Dr. Haddock.

He has a vast skill set that allows him the ability to offer his patients the full spectrum of options in breast reconstruction. He has special expertise in the profunda artery perforator flap, or PAP flap, which involves using tissue from the patient’s own thigh to reconstruct the breast. Women with breast cancer who have had previous abdominal surgery or who do not have enough abdominal tissue are prime candidates for this type of surgery. In addition to the PAP flap, Dr. Haddock provides all other types of breast reconstruction, including the DIEP flap and implant-based reconstruction. He has performed thousands of breast reconstruction procedures and is universally considered an expert by his peers.

Dr. Haddock is a perfectionist and approaches all his patients with an aesthetic eye. This is seen in his cosmetic surgery practice as well as his breast reconstruction practice.

“My commitment is to high patient satisfaction. I strive to provide alternatives that truly benefit my patients,” he says. “My job is to do whatever it takes to ensure that my patients have a positive experience and are receiving great care for their long-term health.”
