Noy Ashkenazy, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery, as well as ocular immunology and uveitis.
Dr. Ashkenazy earned her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed a residency in ophthalmology at UT Southwestern and gained advanced subspeciality training through fellowships in both vitreoretinal surgery and uveitis at the University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. She also holds a master’s degree in medical sciences from the University of South Florida.
Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.
Dr. Ashkenazy is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Uveitis Society (AUS), the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association. She has a special interest in advocacy efforts to improve patient care and physician practice.
A prolific presenter and lecturer, Dr. Ashkenazy has contributed to book chapters and published numerous academic articles related to her areas of expertise. She serves as a reviewer for Lasers in Medical Science.
Outside of work, Dr. Ashkenazy enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and running outdoors.
