Biography
Pamela J. Okada, M.D., F.A.A.P., is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Dr. Okada received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1990, and completed her pediatric residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical School (1990-1993), and her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (1993-1996). She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Emergency Physicians, and Society for Academic Emergency Medicine. Dr. Okada is currently a Professor of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, and the Medical Director of the Plano Children's Emergency Department. Her research interests include areas in pediatric head injury and neurologic outcome.
In 2019, Dr. Okada received UT Southwestern's Patient and Family Recognition Award.
