Rebecca Vigen, M.D.

Biography
Rebecca Vigen, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general cardiology and noninvasive imaging.
Dr. Vigen earned her medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She performed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease, both at UT Southwestern; she has also completed a cardiovascular outcomes research fellowship and master’s degree in clinical sciences at the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in public administration at Syracuse University.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.
Dr. Vigen’s research interests include quality and outcomes research and value in health care. She has published numerous academic articles.
Among her many honors, she received the Outstanding Research Fellow Award from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
