Biography
Sasha Alick Lindstrom, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in the diagnosis and care of patients with epilepsy, using the latest medications and treatments to find the best options for each patient.
Dr. Alick Lindstrom pursued undergraduate studies at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She went on to earn her medical degree and complete an internship in internal medicine at UCC School of Medicine back home in Puerto Rico (UCCEM). She completed her residency in neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and then received advanced training in clinical neurophysiology and in epilepsy through separate fellowships at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Clinical Magnetoencephalography Society, Texas Neurological Society, American Epilepsy Society scientific committee member, American Clinical Neurophysiology Society committee member, president elect for the Southern Epilepsy & EEG Society for 2021-22. She serves on the professional advisory board for the Epilepsy Foundation of Texas. She routinely gives trainings and talks for the community and other institutions on varied topics of intractable epilepsy/seizure disorders. She also routinely mentors college students, medical students, residents, and fellows.
She is the UT Southwestern Magnetoencephalography (MEG) Center of Excellence Clinical Neurophysiologist/Epileptologist.
She is the PI (principal investigator) or Co-I for numerous clinical research trials and frequently publishes in reputable journals and abstracts for our national and international epilepsy and neurophysiology societies. She also peer reviews publications and neurology textbooks.
She is the Faculty co-director for the UTSW 4th year medical student series FiM: Behavioral and Neuromedicine course.
