Steven Peskind, M.D.

Biography

Steven Peskind, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in treating common problems and chronic conditions related to the ear, nose, and throat in both children and adults.

Dr. Peskind earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School and completed a residency in otolaryngology at the Los Angeles County+University of Southern California Medical Center. He received advanced training in facial plastic surgery through a fellowship at LSU Health Shreveport.

Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. Previously, he worked in private practice for 26 years.

Dr. Peskind is a member of several professional societies, including the Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association.

Among his honors and awards, he has been named a Super Doctor by Texas Monthly, a D Magazine Best Doctor for both Collin County and Dallas County, and a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.

Personal Note

Dr. Peskind takes a holistic approach to patient care, emphasizing the role of mind and body balance in managing stress and coping with an illness. When he is not at work, he enjoys traveling, hiking, fly fishing, and spending time with his family, including babysitting his two grandsons.
