Meet Dr. Steven Hudak

Steven Hudak, M.D., specializes in urologic trauma, prosthetics, and reconstructive genitourinary surgery. Before coming to UT Southwestern, he had a 15-year active duty military career, during which time he received two Meritorious Service Medals, an Army Commendation Medal, six Army Achievement Medals, and ultimately achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Meet Dr. Ryan Mauck

Ryan J. Mauck, M.D., evaluates and treats virtually every type of urologic concern – from enlarged prostates, stones, and elevated PSAs to prostatitis, erectile dysfunction, and masses and tumors. Dr. Mauck’s research interests include benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and urologic trauma and reconstruction, topics on which he writes for medical publications.

Meet Dr. Claus Roehrborn

Claus Roehrborn, M.D., specializes in prostate cancer. He has been practicing at UT Southwestern for more than 20 years and has been Chair of the Department of Urology since 2002. Under his leadership, the Department has consistently been named among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report.

Heidi Camus Turpen, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant (PA) in the Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Urological Association of Physician Assistants.

Preparing for Your Appointment

On the day of your appointment, please allow time for registration. Moncrief Medical Center has welcome kiosks and staff located at the main entrance to help you check in.

Please bring your current insurance card, a method of payment (we accept checks or debit/credit cards only), and a complete list of your current medications and dosages (including over-the-counter medications, herbs, and vitamins).

To make the most of your time with the doctor, make a list of questions ahead of time and bring them to your appointment.

Canceling an Appointment

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify the clinic at least 24 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patients waiting to schedule an appointment.

Prescriptions and Refills

For your convenience, there is a retail pharmacy in the Moncrief Medical Center.

It is very important that you do not run out of your medication. Be sure that you have sufficient refills to last until your next appointment with your urologist. We are happy to provide you with a written prescription upon request.

If you run out of refills, please call your pharmacy and your pharmacist will fax a refill request to us. Please allow us 24 to 48 hours to process refill requests.
