As the state’s only exclusively adult-focused hemophilia treatment center (HTC), The North Texas Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center-Adult Program provides access to a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, and other providers who have expertise in treating bleeding disorders. We offer comprehensive, state-of-the-art care and education to patients and their families.
In partnership with other HTCs as well as the pharmaceutical industry, we participate in research to advance knowledge of and care for bleeding disorders. We are one of the few academic medical centers involved in clinical trials of gene therapy for hemophilia.
Conditions We Treat
We have the expertise to care for adults with all types of congenital bleeding disorders. Bleeding disorders can result from defective or deficient clotting factors, platelets, or abnormal blood vessel wall, leading to excessive bleeding or bruising, spontaneously or as a result of injuries. Occasionally bleeding can also result from acquired defects in the clotting system.

- Von Willebrand disease
- Other clotting factor deficiencies
- Congenital platelet disorders
