UT Southwestern and Texas Health Resources have created an integrated regional health network—called Southwestern Health Resources—that will provide increased access to primary and specialized care for the people of North Texas.
As envisioned, the network will improve the quality of care and enhance the efficiency of providing health services by enabling hospitals and physicians to work together in a manner that establishes an increased level of physician and care team collaboration, bringing the greatest value to patients. In addition, the network will create increased access to clinical trials and medical specialists, as well as opportunities to expand medical education and research initiatives.
Expected to commence operation in the spring of 2016, the integrated network will include 27 hospitals throughout North Texas, as well as an expansive network of nearly 3,000 physicians from both organizations.
