Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing one in three of all women’s deaths each year – more than all forms of cancer combined, according to the American Heart Association.
In observation of February as American Heart Month, I will join women from around the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond during a Twitter and Facebook chat, answering questions surrounding heart health, chest pain, and related topics. (Men are welcome, too, of course.)
When: Feb. 18, 2015, from noon – 1 p.m. CST as part of American Heart Month 2015.
Where: To ask questions on Facebook, visit our Facebook page at noon on Feb. 18 and submit your questions in the comment thread of our post about the event. You can RSVP to the event here. The Twitter chat will use the hashtag #loveyourheartdfw, and you can also follow me at @MonSangh. The UT Southwestern account at @UTSWNews will tweet questions and answers during our Heart Month chat.
I will take your questions on Twitter and Facebook and have answers prepared to some initial questions, which you can find below.
These inquiries are based on questions that I hear often from my patients.
Please keep in mind that my answers are purely informational and do not constitute medical advice. If you would like to schedule an appointment for personalized consultation, please call 214-645-8300 or submit the UTSW Request an Appointment form.
