Bruce Schlomer, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and has privileges at Children's Medical Center Dallas and Children's Medical Center Plano.
Dr. Schlomer specializes in management and reconstructive surgery for all pediatric urology conditions, such as undescended testes; inguinal hernias; hydroceles; congenital penile anomalies such as hypospadias and chordee; prenatal hydronephrosis; vesicoureteral reflux; ureteropelvic junction obstruction; urinary tract infections; neurogenic bladder; and pediatric kidney stone disease. He also has extensive experience with providing minimally invasive surgeries such as robotic-assisted laparoscopic pyeloplasty and laparoscopic nephrectomy.
After earning his medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Dr. Schlomer completed his residency in urological surgery at UT Southwestern and then received advanced training in pediatric urology through a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He has been in practice focusing on pediatric urology since 2013.
Dr. Schlomer sees patients at Children's Health Specialty Center Dallas and Rockwall (214-456-2444), Children's Health Specialty Center Park Cities (469-488-7000), and UT Southwestern Pediatric Group at Plano (469-303-2400). In addition, he treats patients with neurogenic bladder from conditions such as spina bifida at Scottish Rite for Children (214-559-5000).
Dr. Schlomer and his wife are raising their three children in East Dallas.
