The otolaryngology clinic at UT Southwestern Frisco focuses on ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions and brings UT Southwestern’s nationally recognized specialty care right to your backyard. Next-day appointments are often available.

Our Frisco otolaryngology team expertly diagnoses, treats, and manages conditions including allergiesbalance disordersear conditionshearing problemssinus disorders, cosmetic deformities, and voice disorders, and many other more complicated ENT conditions, such as head and neck cancerthyroid problems, and disorders requiring skull base surgery.

Surgical procedures requiring anesthesia may take place next door at UT Southwestern’s partner site – the new Texas Health Hospital Frisco – while biopsies and audiology services are provided right in the medical office building.

Pediatric Otolaryngology

Our team of ear, nose, and throat specialists provide innovative and compassionate care for children, including treatment for common conditions such as recurrent strep throat, ear infections, snoring, and obstructive sleep apnea, as well as for conditions such as ankyloglossia, or tongue-tie, neck masses, and nose bleeds. We have extensive experience in treating sinusitis, and are pioneers in minimally invasive pediatric sinus surgery. Our surgical care is provided within a warm, supportive, and child-friendly environment. We can also perform hearing tests in our state-of-the-art audiology center.

Dr. Socorro Chamblee

Dr. Socorro Chamblee

A general ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist, Socorro Chamblee, M.D., cares for patients of all ages who have nearly any condition of the head or neck. She has an extensive background in allergy care, and, as the mother of a child with severe hearing loss, she has a particular interest in helping patients with ear and audiology issues.

Dr. Brandon Isaacson

Brandon Isaacson, M.D., is one of the few otolaryngologists in the Dallas area who performs endoscopic ear surgery. He serves as Co-Director of UT Southwestern's Comprehensive Skull Base Program and his clinical interests include all aspects of otology and neurotology, with a special focus on skull base surgery.

Dr. Joseph Leach

Joseph Leach, M.D., specializes in facial aesthetic surgery, maxillofacial trauma, microvascular head and neck reconstruction, and reanimation following facial paralysis. Dr. Leach, who is board-certified in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery, is the author of many articles and chapters in several prestigious journals and textbooks.

Steven Peskind, M.D., specializes in treating common problems and chronic conditions related to the ear, nose, and throat in both children and adults. Among his honors and awards, Dr. Peskind has been named a Super Doctor by Texas Monthly, a D Magazine Best Doctor for both Collin County and Dallas County, and a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.

Preparing for Your Appointment

To make the most of your time with the doctor, prepare a list of questions ahead of time and bring it to your appointment.

On the day of the appointment, please arrive 20 minutes early to allow time for parking and registration. We do our best to see patients at their scheduled appointment time. 

Please bring the following items:

  • Current insurance card
  • Method of payment
  • Current medications
  • Completed paperwork, if you received forms before the visit

To facilitate ongoing communication, we recommend patients sign up with MyChart, which allows patients to communicate directly with doctors, request prescription refills, update contact information, view test results, and request clinic appointments. Sign in to or sign up for MyChart.

Canceling an Appointment

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify the center at least 48 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patients waiting to schedule an appointment.
