UT Southwestern’s ear, nose, and throat specialists accept appointments for both adults and children at our Fort Worth clinic.

Adults and children in need of expert care for ear, nose, and throat conditions can receive treatment at UT Southwestern Monty and Tex Moncrief Medical Center, conveniently located in the Fort Worth Medical District. Our Fort Worth otolaryngology clinic is staffed by physicians from the No. 1 hospital in DFW – and the only academic medical center in North Texas. They see patients of all ages.  

As part of UT Southwestern Medical Center, our Fort Worth otolaryngology clinic has all the advantages of being associated with one of the nation’s leading clinical and research centers for audiology, cochlear implantation, balance and facial nerve disorders, head and neck cancer, sleep disorders, and other specialties.

Meet Dr. Chiu

Ilene Chiu, M.D., is the Medical Director at Fort Worth's UT Southwestern Monty and Tex Moncrief Medical Center and Clinic Director of the Otolaryngology team. Dr. Chiu also understands what it feels like to be an otolaryngology patient – while in college, she lost hearing in one of her ears.

Appointments for the entire family are one of the key differences at our Fort Worth clinic. Drs. Chiu and Majumder share their unique perspectives on patient care and explain why their practice is so unique.

Communicating with MyChart

To facilitate ongoing communication, we recommend patients sign up with MyChart, which allows patients to request clinic appointments, communicate directly with doctors, request prescription refills, update contact information, and view test results. Sign in or sign up for MyChart.

Preparing for Your Appointment

On the day of your appointment, please allow time for registration. Moncrief Medical Center has welcome kiosks and staff located at the main entrance to help you check in.

Please bring your current insurance card, a method of payment (we accept checks or debit/credit cards only), and a complete list of your current medications and dosages (including over-the-counter medications, herbs, and vitamins).

To make the most of your time with the doctor, make a list of questions ahead of time and bring them to your appointment.

Canceling an Appointment

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify the clinic at least 24 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patients waiting to schedule an appointment.

Prescriptions and Refills

For your convenience, there is a retail pharmacy in the Moncrief Medical Center.

It is very important that you do not run out of your medication. Be sure that you have sufficient refills to last until your next appointment with your otolaryngologist. We are happy to provide you with a written prescription upon request.

If you run out of refills, please call your pharmacy and your pharmacist will fax a refill request to us. Please allow us 24 to 48 hours to process refill requests.
