Appointments
New patients can request appointments either by telephone at 214-645-8300 or through an online form.
Existing patients can use MyChart.

Medical Records
Our patients’ medical records are kept in accordance with all federal laws relating to privacy and confidentiality.
Guest and Patient Services
Guest and Patient Services representatives are available to help make each patient’s hospital stay and each guest’s visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
We have representatives conveniently located in both of our hospitals and in our outpatient clinics around campus.
Representatives can help coordinate or arrange for:
- Giving directions
- Answering questions
- Arranging personal medical services, such as escort or wheelchair
- Hotel recommendations
- Transportation
- Food deliveries
- Guest trays
- Area restaurant recommendations
- Translation services
- Notary services
- Letter and package delivery
- Hair care appointments
- Videos and reading material (including newspapers)

Comments and Concerns
While we hope every patient’s visit goes smoothly, it is important that we are notified of patient concerns so we can take the appropriate steps to address them.
A patient has the right to communicate a verbal or written complaint or concern regarding any aspect of his/her visit (e.g., medical care, service, conditions, billing) and expect a timely response. If you have comments, questions, or concerns, we recommend that you or your representative:
- Discuss them with your immediate caregiver
- Speak to the manager of the clinic or service in which you are receiving care
If you believe your questions or concerns have not been adequately addressed, you may request a review by contacting the Patient Assistance Office by phone at 214-648-0500, by email at patientassistanceoffice@utsouthwestern.edu, or in writing addressed to:
